Today, Thursday, June 27, 2013 marks the first step in the Federal Government's
attempt to pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform. The Senate approved
a 1200 page Immigration Reform Bill that basically promises to create
a path of citizenship for the millions of undocumented individuals in
the United States dependent on the Federal Government's approval of
stricter border security rules.
While today's approval in the Senate is historic in the Federal Government's
attempt to pass Comprehensive Immigration Reform, the Immigration Reform
Bill must be approved by the U.S. House of Representatives and eventually
signed into law by the President before it is officially enacted into
federal law.
